I'm sorry to hear about you losing your pet, Bevel. I lost one of my old dogs the same way. You should talk to your mom about the whole thing but try to understand this from her perspective. Balancing work, marriage, kids, friends, pets, and money is really difficult for an adult. It seems your parents care enough about the cat to send him to a good home. From my perspective, even though my dad really wanted to keep our dog, he didn't have enough money, so he thought the dog would have a better life with our grandma. I'm guessing your parents might feel the same way.
